PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has welcomed the sports teams hailing from Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Paktunkhawa, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir for participating in 35th National Games in Karachi.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Bilawal said Sindh government was arranging the 35th National Games to promote sports and healthy activities culture in the country.
He said that first National Games were inaugurated by Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jainnah.
Bilawal said sports promote health activities in the society. He said youth were the future of the country and they will excel in all walks of life and soon they were bring gold medals and other honors for the country. Bilawal urged the nation and youth to participate in national games.
After an 18-year break, Sindh is hosting the 35th edition of the National Games, which kicked off with a grand inaugural ceremony at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday (today). PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was the chief guest at the ceremony.
Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, Sports Minister and President of the Sindh Olympic Association Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, along with Olympian Arshad Nadeem and Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar were present on the occasion.
