PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi vows to make PSL world’s number one league

Vowing to make the Pakistan Super League (PSL) the number one league of the world, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi announced on Monday that the PSL road show would be held in London on December 13.

For the first time in the history of the PSL, its road show was held at Lords Cricket Ground.

During the panel discussion, the minister said that concerts would be held across the country every week till the opening of the PSL-II.

He said that both the PCB and the PSL were working closely for the betterment of cricket in the country. “We faced all types of challenges to work for the betterment of the game,” he added.

Naqvi said those investing in the PSL benefitted immensely.

The PCB chairman announced that a cricket stadium was going to be built in Islamabad. “For me, Pakistan comes first,” he said, adding, “Bidding for the upcoming edition of the PSL will be transparent.”

He said that Pakistani cricketers had immense talent. “In the PSL, young talented players get an opportunity to hone their skills,” he said.

PSL holds historic road show at Lord’s Cricket Ground

For the first time in the history of the PSL, the league’s road show was held at Lords’ Cricket Ground.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Ramiz Raja, Wasim Akram, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan and Salman Naseer participated in the panel discussion.

Speaking on the occasion, Wasim Akram said that the league was providing opportunities to the local lads to showcase their talent. “The PSL has also led to the promotion of the game in the country,” he added.

Babar Azam said he had a great time playing in the PSL. “I have always concentrated on my game,” he said, adding, “Senior players have always guided me.”

Haris Rauf said playing for Pakistan was an honour for him.
