PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi was given sentence in Tosha Khana 2 case on Saturday (today) without giving them access to their lawyer Salman Safdar.
Addressing a press conference along with PTI MNA Asad Qaiser, Salman Akram Raja said that court has overlooked several points raised by the prosecutor, adding that a government officer calculated the amount of gifts which were taken by the former PM and his wife.
Salman Raja said according to PTI lawyers, Imran Khan was facing solitary confinement. He said that Imran Khan was denied right to fair trial and judges sitting miles away were hearing the case via video link.
PTI Secretary General said Imran Khan’s meetings scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday have been canceled while the government spokesperson claimed meetings were bring allowed, which was a complete lie.
Salman Raja said today only lawyer Salman Safdar was given access. PTI founder’s sisters protested and staged a sit-in due to the ban on meetings. PTI founder has said that all doors of justice have been closed for PTI as courts were not hearing cases Imran Khan.
Salman Raja claimed Imran Khan was of the view that now the people have no option but to protest. The message of the founder is that the people should come out for their rights, Salman Raja added. Imran Khan said PTI will not back down from demanding due rights.
Salman said Imran Khan has urged the people to stand up as PTI was not fighting for power, adding that PTI was fighting for the constitution, law and human rights.
