In a big move to digitization, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided that with the advent of new year 2026, all FIRs (first information reports) will be computer generated, moreover, all public complaints will be computerised.
The complaints verification, inquiries and cases will be registered only through the case management system and issuance of summons notices to citizens will now be QR-based.
The process of investigating cases, preparing records, and submitting challans to the courts will also be done under this system. All records, from public complaints to court decisions, have been computerized.
The case management system has been linked to the performance analysis of circles and zones. The system will enable officers’ performance to be evaluated in a transparent manner.
FIA’s Directorate of Internal Accountability has issued special instructions to all circles in this regard.
