Bihar smash world record with 574 runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy clash

The Indian domestic cricket team representing Bihar state created history in List A cricket by posting a staggering 574 runs in 50 overs, setting a new world record during their Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh.

Batting first, Bihar put up a mountain of runs, completely dominating the contest.

The innings was highlighted by a blistering knock from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who smashed 190 runs off just 84 balls in a breathtaking display of power-hitting.

Suryavanshi also etched his name into the record books by reaching 150 off only 59 balls, the fastest in List A cricket.

Bihar captain Saqib-ul-Ghani played a sensational innings of 128 off 40 balls, while Ayush Loharuka contributed a rapid 116 runs off 56 deliveries, further piling on the misery for the Arunachal Pradesh bowlers.

The previous highest total in List A cricket was 506 runs, set by Tamil Nadu in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Bihar’s extraordinary performance has now rewritten the record books, marking one of the most remarkable batting displays in the history of limited-overs cricket.
