Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal held a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday with the United Arab Emirates Ambassador in Pakistan, Salim Mohammad Al Zaabi, during which it was agreed to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
On this occasion, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal said that a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Pakistan and the UAE has entered the final stage of technical negotiations, and it will be ready for signing soon.
The Federal Minister for Commerce expressed the hope that this accord will play a vital role in strengthening trade relations between the two brotherly countries.
Jam Kamal said that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates are searching for new trade avenues in Central Asia and Africa and are looking for a third trade partner.
Talking on the occasion, the United Arab Emirates envoy lauded the economic reforms adopted by Pakistan and said that Pakistan providing best investment environment to foreign investors.
He said that the United Arab Emirates is taking a keen interest in the trade, logistics, and ports sector.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, CEPA will give a new economic dimension to the relations between the two countries and also enhance trade volume between the two countries.
