Kim Kardashian has addressed online criticism after images of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were removed from a social media post celebrating Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday.
Speaking on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, the reality TV star said the decision was made out of consideration rather than controversy. She described the situation as unintentional and misunderstood.
Kim explained that Meghan Markle and Kris Jenner have shared a friendly relationship for several years. She said the royal couple had initially agreed to the photos being shared, as they were taken during Jenner’s birthday celebration.
According to Kim, the issue arose after the post went live. She said it was later realised that the celebration coincided with Remembrance Day, a solemn occasion observed in the UK and other Commonwealth countries to honour fallen military personnel.

Kim said the couple felt uncomfortable being seen at a party on such a day, even though the photos had already been posted and then removed. To avoid any misunderstanding, the images were taken down as a sign of respect.
She added that the photos themselves were not inappropriate, but the timing made them sensitive. Kim stressed that the situation was handled quickly to be mindful of the occasion.
Concluding the discussion, Kim said she never expected the incident to draw widespread attention. She added that the reaction may have been different had the matter been treated more casually from the start.
