Pakistani actress Hina Tariq has shared the inspiring story behind her entry into the entertainment industry, revealing that her journey into showbiz began unexpectedly with a simple change to her social media profile.
During her appearance on Buzz, hosted by Hassan Chaudhry, the actress candidly recalled how her brother encouraged her to make her Instagram account public, a decision that eventually changed the course of her career.
She candidly stated: “Mery bhai ny bola ky tumhara account chalo public karty hain, this is the first step aur usky baad randomly videos bnana ye sab kuch karna toh mujy ek agency ny message kiya unhon ny khud hi kia mein ny kabhi kisi ko khud sy nahi kaha ky I want to do work and want to go mujy acha bhi nahilgata aur mein kh bhi nahi skti kisi ko till now mein nahi kehti toh mujy unhon ny phir message kiya and then mera portfolio bna and then meri commercial start hogy.”
(My brother suggested that we make my account public and said that would be the first step. After that, I casually started making videos. Then, an agency reached out to me on its own. I never approached anyone or told anyone that I wanted to work in showbiz. I still don’t ask people for work because it doesn’t feel comfortable to me. They contacted me, arranged my portfolio shoot, and that’s how I started doing commercials).
Hina’s story highlights how opportunities can arrive unexpectedly, as a simple social media decision led to professional representation and her first projects in the industry.
It is worthy to mention that the actress has rapidly emerged as one of the promising faces of Pakistani television, earning recognition for her performances in drama serials including ‘Rehmat’, ‘Naqaab’, ‘Nafrat’, ‘Aye Dil Aazma Nahin’, and ‘Na Tum Jano Na Hum’.
