Federal Minister Amir Muqam vows full implementation of JAAC agreement in Azad Kashmir

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engr Amir Muqam on Thursday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the full implementation of the agreement reached with the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), terming the region a top priority of the Prime Minister.

Chairing a meeting to review the implementation status of the agreement, the federal minister expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved so far and directed all concerned departments to further expedite the implementation process. He emphasized that providing relief to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a shared responsibility of both the federal and AJK governments.
Engr Amir Muqam assured participants that, in line with the Prime Minister’s directives, the agreement with the Joint Awami Action Committee would be implemented in letter and spirit to address public concerns and strengthen trust between the government and the people of the region.
Coordinator to the Prime Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Shabir Ahmad Usmani, Secretary Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Zafar Hasan, Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khushal Khan, and Additional Secretary Kamran Rehman Khan attended the meeting.
Senior officials from relevant ministries and departments briefed the meeting on measures taken to date, while the Chief Secretary AJK provided a comprehensive update on the implementation process and highlighted key developments.
The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, the AJK government, and officials from Civil Aviation, National Health Services, Planning Commission, Communications Division, National Highway Authority (NHA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Power Division, Water Resources Division, and the Federal Education Ministry.
The meeting concluded with renewed resolve to ensure timely implementation of agreed measures to improve governance and public service delivery in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
