Imad Wasim sends legal notice to ex-wife over ‘false allegations’

Pakistani national cricket team player Imad Wasim has sent a legal notice to his former wife, Sania Ashfaq, over what his lawyer described as “baseless allegations.”

According to Advocate Aaliya Zareen Abbasi, all accusations levelled by Sania Ashfaq have been strongly denied. She stated that medical records have been obtained which, she claimed, refute the allegation of a forced abortion. A formal legal notice has been issued to Sania Ashfaq in this regard.

The lawyer further said that Imad Wasim’s departure to the United States in November 2023 to participate in the World Cup was made with mutual consent between the couple. She added that the relevant doctors can verify this claim.

Abbasi also stated that complete travel records from visits to the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and England in November 2023 have been secured and will be presented before the court if required.

She revealed that the couple separated in November 2024 due to mutual differences. At the time, Sania Ashfaq was pregnant, and it was decided to wait until the birth of the child before proceeding further.

According to the lawyer, Imad Wasim continued to bear all expenses during that period. In July 2025, a son was born, and she maintained that Imad is currently fulfilling all financial responsibilities for their three children.
