Lollywood Diva Maya Ali has expressed strong concern over the government’s recent decision to significantly increase petrol and diesel prices by Rs. 55 per litre, as of 7 March 2026, a move that has sparked public debate across the country.
Taking to her Instagram story, esteemed actress mentioned that When the Government says petrol and diesel reserves are only few days, then how does increasing the price suddenly solve the problem?
Further, the actress expressed her indignation towards the government over the petrol price hike and questioned “If there is not enough petrol, will higher prices suddenly increase the supply too? How does that work?”

Along this she showed concern with struggling Pakistani populace by mentioning that people are already struggling with ‘mehngai’ and daily expenses. Additionally, Maya Ali stated in this sacred month, people expect some relief not more pressure.
Ali’s reaction has struck a chord with many others who are also obstacle to make ends meet in the face of rising prices and economic uncertainty.
