Sonya Hussain calls for empathy over religion-based questions

Pakistani actress Sonya Hussain shared a powerful message on Instagram that emphasizes the importance of human empathy over judgment.

In her post, she advised her followers not to question others on matters that are ultimately between an individual and God, such as religion, fasting or prayers.

Instead, Sonya encouraged asking questions that foster compassion and genuine human connection, such as: Are you facing any trouble?

Do you need anything? Have you eaten?”

The actress highlighted those small acts of kindness checking on someone’s wellbeing, offering support, or simply asking if they are okay can make a significant impact on people’s lives.

Social commentators have praised the message, noting that focusing on the human aspect of relationships strengthens communities and promotes emotional wellbeing.

In a world where social divisions and misunderstandings often stem from differences in beliefs, Sonya’s words serve as a timely reminder to prioritize care, empathy, and understanding in daily interactions.

Beyond social media, Sonya Hussyn has established herself as one of Pakistan’s most versatile performers.

Sonya’s work has earned her both international and domestic accolades. In November 2025, she won Best Supporting Actress at the Eurasian Open “Diamond Butterfly” ceremony in Moscow for her role in Deemak.

She also secured the Best Supporting Role (Female) trophy at the 4th Pakistani Cinema Awards 2026, also for Deemak.

Looking ahead, Sonya is set to star in the upcoming action film Psycho, directed by Shaan Shahid and co-starring veteran actress Meera, expected to release on Eid-ul-Fitr 2026.

She has also hinted at stepping into film production, aiming to gain more creative control over her projects.
