Fahad Mustafa, the popular actor, producer, and host of Jeeto Pakistan, has shared an inspiring message for people with dusky complexions. The star was promoting his latest film, Aag Lagay Basti Mein, during an appearance on Waseem Badami’s talk show, where he opened up about his journey in the entertainment industry.
When asked whether fair skin is a requirement for success in showbiz, Fahad Mustafa offered a refreshing perspective. He emphasized that talent, not complexion, determines success in today’s entertainment world. He pointed to leading actors like Ahmed Ali Akbar, Saba Qamar, Sanam Saeed, and Sajal Aly as examples of performers who have achieved prominence without having fair skin.
Fahad, who describes himself as “sanwala,” said, “I am not fair-skinned, but I have done well in the industry. Complexion doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is dedication, hard work, and talent.” He encouraged aspiring actors to focus on honing their skills rather than worrying about appearance.
The actor highlighted how the industry is gradually moving away from colour biases and is embracing talent from all backgrounds. He urged people to stay confident and pursue their dreams, regardless of skin tone.
Fahad Mustafa’s message comes at a time when discussions around colourism in Pakistan’s entertainment sector continue to gain attention.
Earlier, Fahad Mustafa, one of Pakistan’s most popular actors and television hosts, recently came under social media fire for his outfit during a promotional interview. Known for hosting the hit game show Jeeto Pakistan and starring in the blockbuster film Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Fahad has long been in the public eye for his bold personality and style choices.
The controversy arose after Fahad appeared on a YouTube interview with journalist Maliha Rehman to promote his upcoming film Aag Lagay Basti Mein. He wore sportswear, including shorts, which many viewers deemed inappropriate for a televised interview. The same outfit was also worn during the promotional event, drawing criticism from fans online.
