Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, work on a modern shrimp farming project worth Rs13 billion is progressing rapidly in Chak 58 North, Sargodha.
Commissioner Sargodha, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, visited the site and reviewed the progress of the project. Spread over 500 acres, the project includes the construction of 128 ponds and tube wells, which are expected to be completed by June.
The project will convert barren land into productive use, create employment opportunities, and boost shrimp production, contributing significantly to exports.
This initiative will also promote Punjab’s blue economy and establish Sargodha as an important hub of aquaculture.
