Monkeypox cases rise in Lahore as another infection confirmed

Health authorities in Lahore have confirmed another case of Monkeypox, as the number of infections in the city continues to rise, it was reported on Wednesday.

Officials reported that an 18-year-old, identified as Rehan, has tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Lahore to 33.

he latest development has raised concerns among health officials, who are closely monitoring the situation.

At Mayo Hospital, seven patients are currently being treated in the isolation ward.

Among them, four cases have been confirmed, while three others are suspected and remain under observation pending further tests.

Medical staff have been instructed to maintain strict monitoring and isolation protocols to prevent further spread of the virus.

Authorities continue to assess the situation and ensure that appropriate healthcare measures are in place.
