China said on Tuesday it was opposed to US weapons sales to Taiwan, after President Donald Trump said he would discuss the issue during his visit to Beijing this week.
“China’s opposition to the United States’ sale of weapons to China’s Taiwan region is consistent and clear,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a news briefing.
