The Pakistan national hockey team has resumed its training sessions following the conclusion of Eid holidays, as preparations continue for upcoming international assignments.
According to team management sources, players reported back to the training camp after a short break and immediately rejoined structured fitness and skill-based drills under the supervision of the coaching staff. The focus of the resumed camp is on improving physical conditioning, tactical awareness, and team coordination ahead of key fixtures on the international calendar.
Coaches have reportedly designed an intensified training schedule to make up for the brief pause during the Eid holidays. Sessions include stamina-building exercises, stick control practice, penalty corner routines, and match simulation drills aimed at enhancing on-field decision-making.
Team officials emphasized that maintaining consistency and discipline is crucial at this stage, especially as Pakistan hockey aims to regain its competitive edge in international tournaments. Players were also briefed on upcoming training objectives and performance benchmarks to ensure steady progress.
The management expressed satisfaction with the players’ fitness levels upon their return, noting that most athletes remained in moderate training during the holiday period to avoid loss of form. However, additional focus is being placed on sharpness and game rhythm in the coming days.
Pakistan hockey, once a dominant force in world sports, has been working on rebuilding its structure and performance standards. The current training phase is part of a broader effort to prepare a strong, competitive squad capable of performing consistently at the international level.
Officials remain hopeful that continued training and improved preparation will help the national team achieve better results in upcoming competitions, as the players push to restore the country’s historic legacy in hockey.
