Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, has said that the 2024 elections were “auctioned.” He added that when a seat is reportedly sold for 40 crore rupees, it raises the question of who would even want to participate in elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Quetta, he said that he has remained loyal to and in love with this land. He questioned how the rulers are running the country and said that the right to govern Pakistan must be given to the people.
Achakzai said that the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment would be a major mistake. He added that the Constitution has already been “destroyed.” He said that if the country is run according to the Constitution and oath, Pakistan can become one of the best countries in the world.
He further said that people living in areas where minerals are extracted must be given their due rights over those resources.
The Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan chief said that he is tired of repeatedly calling for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. He added that meetings with the PTI founder are being restricted and even his sisters are not being allowed to meet him.
He also said that if a war breaks out between Iran and the United States, Pakistan and Afghanistan will also be affected. He suggested that Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran should form a regional alliance.
