Imran Khan shifted to PIMS for medical examination

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been shifted from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for a medical examination.

According to sources, the PTI founder was moved from Adiala Jail to PIMS under tight security, where a team of specialist doctors will conduct a comprehensive medical assessment.

Sources said that a detailed examination of his eyes will be carried out at PIMS.

Further medical treatment and procedures will be decided based on the findings and recommendations of the doctors.

Security authorities put in place extraordinary arrangements while security in and around the hospital was also heightened.

Following the completion of the medical examination, the PTI founder is expected to be transferred back to Adiala Jail.
