Supreme Court to withdraw austerity policy from June 15

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced to end the austerity policy, launched in April to deal with the effects of Middle East conflict.

In this regard, a notification was issued on Friday regarding withdrawal of the austerity policy.

According to the notification, the Supreme Court will function as usual from June 15 abolishing four-day work week policy.

Policy to reduce expenses including petrol allowance is also abolished.

Policy to allow judicial staff to work from home also withdrawn.

The Supreme Court had adopted austerity policy in view of the international circumstances.
