Punjab govt to continue austerity, fuel-saving measures till June 30

The Punjab government has decided to continue reducing government expenditure and fuel-saving measures until the end of the month, it was reported on Friday.

Austerity and fuel-saving measures have been extended till June 30, 2026.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification to continue additional austerity measures.

According to the notification, 50 percent reduction in fuel supply for the government vehicles will continue.

The decision to keep 60 percent of government vehicles grounded will be maintained.

Ban on foreign visits of government officials also extended till June 30, 2026.

Ban on official foreign travel will continue except with specific exemptions.

Other fuel conservation and austerity measures will continue until further orders.
