Electricity generation surpassed 2,000 megawatts after Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) introduced a net metering project, it was reported on Tuesday.
According to details, LESCO completed the installation of 135,837 net metering connections. The 1,204 applications for net metering that were submitted before February 9, 2026, were shifted to the PITC portal.
Applications received after February 9, 2026, will be connected to the Net Billing Portal. Net billing regulations will apply to net metering capacity and load increases after February 9.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LESCO said that providing facilities to consumers is our topmost priority.
Engineer Mohammad Ramzan Butt said that “we are taking measures to make net metering and net billing transparent.”
