Petroleum dealers demand benefits of oil prices cut be passed on to public

The Petroleum Dealers Association has demanded that the benefits of the reduction in oil prices be directly passed on to the people, it was reported on Tuesday.

Senior Advisor Malik Khuda Bakhsh said that due to Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, the region was saved from the threat of a major war and the world is looking at Pakistan as a ‘peacemaker’.

He said the efforts of the Prime Minister and the military leadership have yielded positive results.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh demanded the benefit of the fall in oil prices in the global market should be conveyed to the people.

He suggested public transport fares should be reduced by at least 25 percent and the prices of essential commodities should also be significantly reduced.

He said the people fully supported the government and the country despite inflation.

Petroleum dealers fully supported the government in difficult circumstances, Malik Khuda Bakhsh said.

Promises regarding the margin of petroleum dealers should be fulfilled, he demanded.

He said the Minister of Petroleum had postponed the matter due to the war situation.

The situation is improving, it is time to solve the problems of the dealers, Malik Khuda Bakhsh demanded.

He said a meeting should be called soon and a decision should be taken on the margin of petroleum dealers.
