The 84th meeting of Board of Governors of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), chaired by Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, was held in Lahore where key decisions relating to the 2026–27 financial year were taken, said a press release issued on Monday.
At the meeting of PCB Board of Governors, members unanimously approved the surplus budget for the 2026–27 financial year and the budget for PSL Season 12.
The Board also gave its nod for making the PSL administratively and financially autonomous.
The BoG meeting increased the domestic cricket budget from Rs3 billion to Rs4 billion. The PCB Board of Governors approved a new central contracts framework and payment system, along with increased match fees for the national team.
Match fees for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy players were raised from Rs30,000 to Rs100,000, while reserve players’ fees increased from Rs15,000 to Rs50,000.
The PCB Board of Governors also approved funding for women’s One-Day and T20 tournaments, raised the minimum salary of regional ground staff to Rs42,000, and allocated funds to operationalize 12 more grounds.
It also approved Rs6.7 billion for infrastructure upgrades, including the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi, and funding for a biomechanics machine at the High Performance Centre in Lahore.
PCB Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza briefed the meeting about the main features and figures of the budge for new financial year.
BoG members Anwaar Ghani, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Awan, Ismael Qureshi, Sajjad Khokhar, Tanvir Ahmad and Adnan Malik participated in the meeting.
Zaheer Abbas, Additional Secretary Cabinet Division Mir Hassan Naqvi and other officials also took part in the meeting.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmad, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and other directors were also present in the meeting.
