Punjab CM distributes cheques among families of Kahna tragedy victims

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Kahna area of Lahore on Friday and distributed cheques among the victims of the tuition centre tragedy.

Maryam Nawaz shared the pain of the affected parents, hugged the mothers of victim children and consoled them.

Maryam Nawaz expressed her condolences and spoke to the affected families. Maryam Nawaz handed over cheques to the grieving families of the Kahna tragedy and directed the concerned authorities to provide the best care to the people injured in the incident.

The Punjab government has announced Rs2 million compensation for each deceased child and Rs500,000 for the injured to provide solace to the grieving families of the Kahna tragedy.

Maryam Nawaz assured all possible support to the bereaved families. She said words are few but grief is greater. “No amount of money can heal the tears of grieving mothers,” Maryam Nawaz said.

“It is heartbreaking to see small flowers fall like this, we will not leave the grieving mothers alone,” Maryam Nawaz said.

She told the mothers “The grief of your children is my own grief.”
