Saudi Arabia has announced the introduction of a new digital facility called the “Package Visa” to promote tourism and provide greater convenience for international travellers. Under the new system, tourist visa applications will be directly linked to travel package bookings.
According to Saudi authorities, the initiative will initially be launched in selected countries through authorised travel agencies before being expanded to additional markets.
The move is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to strengthen its tourism sector and simplify travel procedures. Previously, the Kingdom introduced e-Visa, Visa on Arrival, and Stopover Visa facilities, which contributed to attracting more than 29 million international tourists in 2025.
Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the Kingdom’s tourism sector is experiencing rapid growth and that the Package Visa reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to making travel easier and more accessible.
