PML-N to secure two-thirds majority in AJK elections: Muqam

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam has expressed strong confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir general elections.

Muqam shared these remarks while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad held on Thursday to welcome new party members from AJK’s Sehnsa constituency.

Welcoming the new members, the minister said that the influx of members from the Sehnsa constituency is a testament to the public’s trust in PML-N’s past performance and its progressive vision for the future.

Muqam highlighted key welfare measures taken by the PML-N government for the region, including subsidy on wheat, the provision of affordable electricity rates and establishment of Daanish schools.

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif allocated Rs10 billion for the construction of Haryam bridge.
