The South Korean national hockey team will pay a historic visit to Pakistan from July 27 (today) to August 8, it was reported on Monday.
According to a circular, four international test matches between South Korea and Pakistan will be played at the Naseer Banda Hockey Stadium in Islamabad.
The visit of the South Korean hockey team will give new impetus to the revival of international hockey activities in Pakistan.
The visit of the South Korean national hockey team reflects the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the promotion of sports in the country.
Advisor to the Prime Minister, Rana Sanaullah said the visit of the South Korean national hockey team is a historic step towards the revival of the national game in Pakistan.
The visit of the South Korean team will highlight Pakistan’s peaceful and secure image at the global level, Rana Sanaullah said.
Federal Secretary and PHF President Mohiuddin Wani said the visit of South Korea will play an important role in promoting Pakistan’s sports diplomacy and bilateral relations.
The government of Pakistan will provide the South Korean team with high-level security, protocol and administrative facilities.
Meanwhile, the schedule and panel of technical officials for the 2026 hockey series between Pakistan and South Korea, consisting of four Test matches, have been announced.
According to schedule, the 4-match Test series between the two teams will be played from July 30 to August 7, 2026 at Naseer Banda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad.
The first Test match will be played on July 30, 2026 at 5:15 PM Pakistani time.
The second Test match will be played on August 01, 2026 at 5:15 PM.
The third Test match will be played on August 04, 2026 at 5:15 PM.
The fourth Test match will be played on August 07, 2026 5:15 PM.
The panel will include Umpire Manager, Faiz Muhammad (International Umpire Manager)
The Umpire Panel includes Haroon Rashid, Yasir Khurshid, Fahad Ali Khan, Asad Abbas and Sajid Raza.
The Technical Delegate is Muhammad Shafiq Bhatti.
The Technical Officials, Judges include Hamza Tufail (Peshawar), M. Waqas Ahmed, Adnan Shahzad, Mehboob Javed and Mirza Javed.
