Punjab has no hostility toward Sindh, performance will be discussed, says Azma Bukhari

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said Punjab had no hostility toward Sindh, but performance would be discussed if Punjab’s achievements were perceived as taunts.

In a statement, Azma Bukhari said those making corruption allegations without evidence could also be taken to court.

She said questioning individuals over holding press conferences without providing evidence should not be termed political victimisation.

Criticising the Sindh government, the Punjab information minister said those in whose province allegations of Rs8 billion corruption had emerged over a single road were questioning Punjab’s performance.

Azma Bukhari also alleged that reports had surfaced of everything from electric fans to entire examination centres being sold in Sindh.

She said issues and scandals emerging in Sindh should also be questioned, adding that scandals were taking place in Sindh, not Punjab.
