Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan addressed Pakistan-South Korea Business Conference in Seoul via video link on Thursday.
In his speech, Jam Kamal said after this conference, Pakistan, South Korea move closer to CEPA agreement.
CEPA will further expand Pakistan-South Korea trade cooperation, Jam Kamal Khan added.
Commerce Minister said CEPA agreement will open new opportunities for Pakistani exporters.
First phase of Pakistan-South Korea CEPA negotiations successfully completed today and second round expected soon, Jam Kamal Khan concluded.
More than 170 Pakistani and Korean businessmen participated in the Seoul conference.
Six important B2B memorandums of understanding were also signed between Pakistan and Korean companies during the conference.
Six MoUs were signed in various sectors including salt, cosmetics, oil and sesame.
Conference declared as important B2B breakthrough to promote Pakistan-south Korea trade relations.
It was also announced to hold the second Pakistan-South Korea Business Conference in Seoul in March 2027.
The conference will highlight Pakistan’s export potential in textiles, leather, surgical, sports, agricultural products and IT.
Business delegations from Sialkot, Gujranwala and other chambers attended Pakistan-Korea conference.
