An infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has been foiled, with several Afghan Taliban personnel killed in the operation, according to security sources.
Security sources said Afghan aggression and an infiltration attempt were thwarted in the Chaman sector along the Pak-Afghan border.
The sources said an aggression attempt was made from the Afghan side in the Chaman sector, following which security forces launched a timely retaliatory action.
The Pakistan Army effectively and forcefully responded to the provocative firing and thwarted the enemy’s intentions, the sources said.
According to security sources, Pakistani forces also destroyed posts of the Afghan Taliban regime involved in the aggression using quadcopters and mortar fire.
The sources said the Pakistani forces’ response completely foiled the Afghan Taliban’s attempt to infiltrate Pakistani territory.
Security forces remain fully prepared to respond promptly and effectively to any infiltration from Afghan territory, the sources said.
Earlier, an infiltration attempt had also been foiled in the Gulistan sector.
