According to the Punjab Home Department spokesperson, the restrictions will remain in effect from October 6 to 15. The ban prohibits gatherings of five or more people, processions and assemblies in public places, roads and open public areas.
The carrying or display of weapons in public places and encouraging people to participate in illegal gatherings have also been prohibited.
The spokesperson said intelligence agencies had received information about security threats.
