T20 captain Farhan determined to keep aggressive batting approach

Pakistan T20 captain Sahibzada Farhan has vowed to maintain his aggressive batting approach, saying he planned to play a different style of cricket before the T20I series against Sri Lanka, it was on Monday.

Speaking to PCB Digital after Pakistan secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, Farhan said he would continue to play attacking cricket whenever he represented Pakistan in the T20 format.

“I knew Muaz, Hasan and Saim would come after me, so I played attacking shots,” Farhan said, explaining his approach at the crease.

Praising young batter Muaz Sadaqat, Farhan said the youngster had progressed through Pakistan’s Under-16 and Under-19 cricket systems and was performing exceptionally well.

The Pakistan captain also praised fast bowler Muhammad Imran Randhawa, describing him as a proven domestic performer capable of bowling consistently in the same area.

Farhan said he felt it was Randhawa’s day and therefore decided to give him all four overs in one spell.

Pakistan have won the series with a decisive 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

The third and final match will be played on Tuesday.
