Pakistani makeup artist Shoaib Khan has broken his long-standing habit of avoiding his sister Hina Afridi’s dramas, revealing that he cannot bear to see her cry on screen.
However, Mitti De Baway made him change his mind, as he watched the drama for the first time and praised it as a remarkable achievement for Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Shoaib recently took to social media to congratulate Wahaj Ali, Hina Afridi and Mahira Khan on their work in Mitti De Baway. He shared that he had never watched any of his sister’s dramas before because seeing his “little sister” cry on screen was difficult for him.
According to Shoaib, people encouraged him to watch the serial, and he eventually decided to give it a chance. The drama impressed him, prompting him to praise the production and the efforts of its cast.
Shoaib also shared his view that Mitti De Baway could serve as a learning example for students studying acting, film and television in Pakistan. He suggested that dramas of this standard could be studied in acting schools in the future, highlighting his appreciation for the production.
In Mitti De Baway, Hina Afridi plays Qamar-un-Nissa, whose entry brings a new development to the storyline. Her character is connected to Balaa, played by Wahaj Ali, while Mahira Khan is also part of the drama’s cast.
Shoaib’s comments highlight both his appreciation for the drama and his support for his sister’s work. His admission that Mitti De Baway is the first of Hina’s dramas he has watched adds a personal touch to his praise, while his remarks also recognise the wider team behind the production.
