LPG Distributors Association started its strike in Lahore on Saturday protesting against government’s crackdown.
In a statement, the LPG Distributors Association demanded that the ongoing crackdown by para force, Civil Defence, and local body personnel against refilling and decanting must be stopped immediately.
The Association further stated that their valuable goods are also being impounded during raids on their shops.
They alleged that goods worth Rs 1400 million were damaged. They said that government employees were demanding bribery.
They appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, to take notice of this situation and prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the shops.
The LPG distributors warned that their strike will continue until their demands are met.
