ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that the government has been vigorously pursuing the ease of doing business policy.
Talking to a delegation of heads of Chinese companies here on Monday, he said incentives were being provided to investors and procedures were being made easy.
The prime minister assured the delegation that he himself would chair the review meeting every month to address their issues on a priority basis.
He said Pakistan could learn a lot from China about industrial development. He said the Chinese investment would create employment opportunities in Pakistan and the human resource would get skills.
Imran Khan went on to say that Pakistan has immense potential for the growth of small and medium enterprises in which the Chinese companies can play an important role.
The premier emphasized on focusing on agriculture, fisheries, vegetables and fruits, information technology, and small industries. “The government would fully facilitate investors,” he added.
On the occasion, the Chinese delegation expressed a keen interest in investing in Pakistan while appreciating the country’s investor-friendly policies.
PM Imran Khan said that the government was adhering to the policy of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ while providing incentives to investors and simplifying administrative matters, the statement said.
The premier also assured the Chinese delegation that he would head meetings in person on a monthly basis to resolve the issues on a priority basis.
“Pakistan could learn a lot from China through the development of the industrial sector. Chinese investment would create employment opportunities in Pakistan and give the workforce a chance to learn new skills,” said PM Khan.
He said that there are vast opportunities for the development of small and medium industries (SMEs) in Pakistan and Chinese companies can play a role in developing them.
The government will provide all possible facilities to the investors, he added.
