New Year without ‘fireworks’ in Lahore as authorities warn violators

LAHORE: The Lahore district commissioner (DC) has issued a notification imposing a complete ban on fireworks for the upcoming New Year celebrations.

According to the DC, no fireworks will be allowed to mark the arrival of the new year, and strict action will be taken against those violating the ban.

The decision was made in light of concerns over air pollution, which could pose serious health risks.

The DC emphasized that air pollution could lead to health issues and urged the public to comply with the ban for the well-being of the community.
