The government has significantly enhanced the compensation and welfare package for personnel of the Civil Armed Forces, increasing financial support and benefits for the families of those who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.
Under the revised package, the maximum compensation has been raised to Rs 20 million, doubling the earlier ceiling of Rs 10 million. Previously, the minimum compensation under the security package stood at Rs 3 million. In addition to the enhanced financial compensation, families of martyrs will now receive full salary, allowances and pension benefits.
The updated package also includes a range of welfare measures aimed at long-term family support. These include employment opportunities for family members, as well as free health and education facilities. Additional benefits such as marriage grants, house-building advances, and other financial assistance will also be provided.
The Civil Armed Forces covered under this package include the Punjab Rangers and Sindh Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC) North and FC South operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the Pakistan Coast Guards, Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts and the Federal Constabulary.
The move has been widely welcomed as a major step toward recognizing the sacrifices of the Civil Armed Forces and ensuring better support and security for the families they leave behind.
