Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad on Monday and held a meeting with Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam regarding the arrangements of US-Iran peace talks.
The emphasis of the discussion was on arrangements for the second round of peace talks.
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi stressed the need for a sustainable solution through diplomacy and talks channels to reduce tensions.
“Pakistan-Iran relations span over decades and we value our fraternal relations with Tehran,” Mohsin Naqvi said and added Pakistan advocates resolving the Iran-US dispute through negotiations.
The enduring solution to the conflict will be the guarantor of the region’s stability and peace, Mohsin Naqvi remarked.
Mohsin Naqvi also informed the ambassador about his recent visit to Iran.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad. IG Islamabad Police and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad were also present on this occasion.
