DPM Dar chairs meeting to review evolving regional developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting which was attended by Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review evolving regional developments and upcoming international engagements.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister discussed emerging global and regional developments with the officers. He underscored the importance of proactive engagement on key foreign policy priorities with clarity of purpose, strategic foresight, objectives and a strong focus on results.

Earlier, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

During the meeting, they discussed the evolving regional situation. The Deputy Prime Minister underscored Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to facilitate engagement and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in peaceful resolution of disputes.

The British High Commissioner appreciated and supported Pakistan’s facilitative role in bringing the US and Iran on the negotiating table.
