Pakistan’s one-day cricket team captain Shaheen Afridi has said that we have to show the best performance in Test cricket as this will automatically put positive impact on other formats of cricket, it was reported on Wednesday.
Addressing a Press conference in Dhaka, Shaheen Afridi said that “our target is to become the top team of the World Test Cricket Championship.
Shaheen Afridi said that we are retaining sixth, seventh, and eighth position in numbers, which is not a good sign for Pakistani cricket.
He said that we played well in the last cricket series and we have to win the series 2-0, but we achieved one point; we defeated the team that also defeated India in the previous match.
Shaheen Afridi said that “if our performance improves in Test cricket, then our performance will become better in T-20 and one-day cricket matches.
The captain of Pakistan’s one-day team said that green tracks became effective for us as our bowlers, like Abbas and Khurram, showed outstanding performance on these tracks.
Shaheen Afridi said that spinners will also play their role, and we have to focus on obtaining 20 wickets.
He said that during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament, we were preparing ourselves for Test cricket.
