Court reform: Pakistan and Turkey advance judicial cooperation deal

A major step has been taken in the judicial cooperation agreement between Pakistan and Turkey, after a Pakistani judicial delegation completed a detailed visit to Turkey, it was reported on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Supreme Court, the delegation held meetings in Istanbul with senior officials of Turkey’s Constitutional Court.

The talks focused on the judicial system, reform, and the use of modern technology in court work.

The delegation included Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, the Chief Justice of Gilgit-Baltistan, Ali Baig, and judges from the district judiciary.

During the visit, special sessions were also held on modern court management and technology.

The judges reviewed case management systems and information technology tools used in the Turkish courts.

According to the statement, the purpose of the visit was to help make the judicial system more modern and effective.
