Pakistani actress, model and digital influencer Sadia Faisal has addressed the ongoing social media debate surrounding her mother’s controversial public remarks during a recent podcast appearance.
Speaking on the FHUM podcast, Sadia discussed both her professional journey and the frequent online attention given to her family, especially her mother, veteran actress Saba Faisal.
Saba Faisal has often remained in the spotlight due to her outspoken opinions on social issues. Some of her comments have sparked criticism on social media, with users accusing her at times of expressing traditional or conservative views about women and society.
Responding to questions about whether she agrees with her mother’s statements, Sadia said her mother speaks from personal experience and life observations. She added that Saba Faisal does not hesitate to express her views openly and confidently.
However, Sadia also revealed that she has advised her mother to be more careful with her wording in public discussions, especially in the age of social media where younger audiences react quickly and often misunderstand context.
She noted that today’s Gen Z audience is more sensitive and less willing to accept traditional viewpoints without debate, which can lead to controversies over older generational perspectives.
Despite criticism online, Sadia stated that she does not completely disagree with her mother, saying that many of her opinions are based on real-life experiences rather than theory.
Sadia Faisal comes from a well-known showbiz family. Her brothers Arsalan Faisal and Salman Faisal are also active in the entertainment industry, making the Faisal family one of the most recognised names in Pakistani television.
