Gold price soars by Rs4,600 in Pakistan

The prices of gold witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Monday, with 24-karat gold per-tola rate rising by Rs4,600 to settle at Rs477,762 compared to Rs473,162 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,943 to Rs409,603 from Rs405,660, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs3,615 to Rs375,483 against Rs371,868.

In the international market, the price of gold increased by $46 to $4,554 per ounce from $4,508.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs236 to Rs8,270, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs203 to Rs7,090.

The price of silver in the international market also increased by $2.36 to settle at $77.86.
