Federal Budget 2026-27 to be presented on June 5

A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance was held under the chairmanship of Member of National Assembly (MNA) Syed Naveed Qamar in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, senior PPP leader Syed Naveed Qamar said that the federal budget of 2026-27 will be presented in the National Assembly on June 5, 2026.

Naveed Qamar said that economic experts will brief the participants of the meeting about the next budget 2026-27.

Talking on the occasion, economic expert Ali Salman said that Pakistan is witnessing stability in the economy. He said Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have crossed $22 billion, and the State Bank held reserves were worth Rs17 billion. He said that Pakistan’s foreign remittances have reached $33 billion.

Ali Salman said that Pakistan’s current account deficit is $324 million, and the inflation is in double digits. He said that there is a decrease in government borrowings.

Javed Hanif said that the government achieved relief by decreasing the interest rate.
