Pakistan, Australia to clash in first ODI tomorrow

All preparations for the three One-Day International (ODIs) series between Pakistan and Australia were in place as the two sides will clash in the first one-dayer in Rawalpindi tomorrow (Saturday), it was reported on Friday.

The match will start at 4:30 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Two other matches of the series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The first in Lahore will be played on June 2, and the third and last ODI will be played on June 4, 2026.

Security beefed up in and around Gaddafi Stadium to ensure the smooth holding of two cricket matches.

Pakistan Cricket Head Coach, Mike Hesson, has praised the players’ fitness, discipline, and hard work in training sessions, saying there is a positive environment within the squad.

Speaking to the media at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, he said the upcoming ODI series against Australia is of great significance for the national team, and the team management is focused on building a balanced and strong combination ahead of the next World Cup.

He added that the series against a strong side like Australia would provide an excellent opportunity for players to further sharpen their skills.
