Pakistan hockey team departs for FIH Pro League matches in Europe

The Pakistan national hockey team has departed for Belgium and the United Kingdom (UK) to participate in the FIH Pro League, where they will compete in eight important matches scheduled from 13 to 28 June.

According to reports, the national side is set to face arch-rivals India on 23 June in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament.

The squad of 20 players includes Ali Raza, Imad Shakeel Butt, Abdul Manan, among others. The team left for Europe from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday.

Olympian Manzoor-ul-Hassan will serve as head coach, while Khawaja Junaid is accompanying the team as manager.

The Pro League matches will be held across venues in Belgium and the United Kingdom, where Pakistan will compete against some of the world’s leading hockey teams.

Officials of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) have extended their best wishes to the national squad, expressing hope that the team will deliver strong performances on the international stage.
