Terrorist involved in supplying drones, explosives to TTP arrested in Karachi

In a joint operation conducted by personnel of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and a federal civil intelligence agency, a key operative involved in a sophisticated supply network providing advanced drone technology and explosive materials to terrorist organizations like outlawed TTP has been arrested in Karachi, it was reported on Saturday.

According to CTD officials, two kilograms of explosive material, drone, battery and remote-control were recovered from detained accused Tahir, who used to supply IEDs, suicide jackets and equipment used in drone attacks to TTP.

The accused used to acquire equipment from different market of Karachi and from online platforms.

The arrested terrorist was linked to a wider network operated through Afghanistan by his brother Talal alias Zaid Baloch, who is also an active TTP member.

Talal alias Zaid Baloch is based in Afghanistan and is also listed on the red book of CTD Sindh.

Tahir was involved in supplying modern drones, electronics equipment, drone motors, batteries, propellers and micro control boards to the TTP.
