Pakistani singer, actor, and musician Ali Zafar created history in Canada with a record-breaking open-air concert attended by more than 45,000 people at Celebration Square in Mississauga.
Organizers called the event the largest musical gathering ever held at the venue. Due to the massive crowd, attendees also filled surrounding streets and nearby areas beyond the main square.
The concert marked the final show of Ali Zafar’s “Roshni Tour 2026” North America leg, which attracted fans from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and other South Asian communities. The audience included families, youth, children, and elderly fans who participated with great enthusiasm throughout the night.
Ali Zafar performed for nearly two hours, delivering over 20 songs from his popular catalog, including Rangeen, Channo, Masti, and Chal Dil Mere. He also performed live tracks from his new album Roshni, including Roshni, Mamasita, and Roxanne for the first time.
One of the most memorable moments came when he performed his hit song Jhoom, lighting up the entire venue as thousands of fans turned on their mobile flashlights, creating a sea of lights across the square.
During the show, Ali Zafar also stepped down from the stage to interact with fans directly, receiving loud cheers and applause from the audience.
Beyond music, he addressed themes of unity, cultural identity, and mutual respect. He said that humanity is one shared community and stressed the importance of respecting different choices, freedoms, and cultural roots.
He also spoke about the rights of women to make their own decisions, the importance of encouraging children’s dreams, and improving communication within families.
The concert concluded with the crowd singing along with him, while organizers and attendees described the night as one of the most unforgettable cultural events in Mississauga’s history.
