PHF appoints foreign high-performance coaching team to revive national hockey

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the appointment of additional foreign coaches as part of its mission to revive and modernise the country’s national sport, it was reported on Friday.

Under the latest appointments, David Dwyer has been named Fitness and High-Performance Coach, while Bob Johan Veldehof will serve as the Goalkeeping Coach.

Chris Bowen has been appointed as the Sports Psychologist, and Adnan Zakir will take charge as the Junior Talent Identification Coach.

The appointments come after the federation had already named Herman Kruis as the head coach, completing an international coaching setup that will oversee the development of both Pakistan’s senior and junior hockey teams.

PHF President Mohiuddin Wani described the appointments as the beginning of a new era for Pakistan hockey, saying the international coaching team would help improve every aspect of the game, including player development, physical conditioning, technical training and overall performance.
